Broken River Road is a 6 km unsealed road through beech forest to the main car park (Hanomag car park); carry chains even with 4WD. Campervans aren't suitable on the road — park at the entrance near SH73 instead. The Tyndall Tram runs from Hanomag to the ticket office (about 4 minutes; winter hours 8:30–11:30am and 3:30–5:30pm). No day-parking fee or booking is required.
