Free parking and a drop-off zone at the base. There are five car parks: Carparks 1 and 2 are closest to the base; Carparks 3 (Rakaia Saddle), 4 (Zed Creek) and 5 (Info Booth) are further down the 14 km unsealed access road. A free ski shuttle runs between the overflow lots and the base when overflow parking is in use (it doesn't serve the Info Booth/Carpark 5). On Carpool Priority Days, access to the upper lots may be limited by occupancy. Chains must be carried at all times.

Mount Hutt is in Mount Hutt, New Zealand (Southern Alps). Its base is at 1,600 m and its summit at 2,086 m, a vertical drop of 486 m. It's on the Ikon Pass. Parking is free and needs no reservation. Mount Hutt hasn't announced its 2027 opening date yet. It typically opens around June 27.
